Suppose you wanted to start a fire using sunlight and a mirror....? (Lens/mirror question?)?

Which of the statements is most accurate:

A. It would be best to use a concave mirror, with the object to be ignited positioned halfway between the mirror and its center of curvature.

B. It would be best to use a plane mirror.

C. It would be best to use a convex mirror.

D. It would be best to use a concave mirror, with the object to be ignited positioned at the center of curvature of the mirror.

E. One cannot start a fire using a mirror, since mirrors only form virtual images.

Which one would it be? :) Thanks to anyone who can help!

A

you can focus all the light energy to a single point
Reply:your answer is (a) . because a concave mirror will focus the sun light coming from sun at its focus that is half the radius of curvature.
