My sound card (Sound Blaster Audigy value) is installed & working properly but there is no sound on my PC?

My sound card (Sound Blaster Audigy value) is installed %26amp; working properly but there is no sound on my PC?
Check if it is not muted, if not re install the sound driver.
Reply:You probably don't have the codecs to play the sound.





You must understand that the sound card, is the hard ware, and for the mp3 file to go from you system, to your hardware, it must be able to read and interpret the information, hence you need a codec.

This is to download a basic codec called AC97, rest assure, this is from a recogized web page, and is legal. Choose the one that your system runs on, in this case, XP. I suggest you choose the .exe for convenience sake.





After you install, get this other codec pack, to help run majority of the media files.

Download this, and you should be able to watch most of your video files, with sound as well. This is, as the previous, legal.
