I cant upgrade virtual memory. I cant uninstall anything. I cant delete anything. But I can edit and move other files.
My computer says that the C drive is to full to delete or uninstall anything. help?
The first thing you should do is clear your temporary internet files.
Open up My Computer. Right-Click on your C drive and click on Properties. Then, click on the Disk Cleanup button.
Check everything there and then click on Ok.
This will probably help a lot.
You should also uninstall any software that you no longer use.
If your HDD is filled with things like Music or Pictures, get an external Hard Drive (such as a MyBook from Western Digital) and transfer files there.
Reply:Which operating system are you using...
You need to find out how much free space you have, and start deleting files under than size... Or just buy a bigger hard drive and transfer some stuff...
It wont let you delete items to create more space, because the recycle bin uses part of the HDs free space to hold stuff, and if you have no free space, nothing can be placed in recycle bin...
Try RIGHT clicking your recycle bin, LEFT click PROPERTIES, then when the window opens, check the box that says " DO NOT MOVE FILES TO THE RECYCLE BIN%26lt; REMOVE FILES IMMEDIATLY"...
Then click ok, start deleting some stuff you dont need...
