10 points to best answer. for a converging lens with a focal length of 3.30 cm, find the object distance?

(a) For a converging lens with a focal length of 3.30 cm, find the object distance that will result in an inverted image with an image distance of 4.60 cm.

[ cm ]

(b) Is the image real or virtual?

(c) What is the magnification?

*bonus! try to answer some of my unresolved questions!

10 points to best answer. for a converging lens with a focal length of 3.30 cm, find the object distance?
a) Using the equation, (1/f)= (1/d0)+(1/d1)

f= .033m

d0=.046m

d1= ?

(1/.046m)+ (1/d1)=(1/.033m)

(1/d1)=8.564

d1=.117m (or 11.7 cm)

b) Because the magnitude is negative, the image is upside down. Since it's upside down it is a real image.

c) m= - (d1/d0)

m= - (.117m/.046m)

m= -2.54

Hope this helps!!! =D
