________ is having more memory addresses than are physically available????

A. Applications software

B. Virtual Memory

C. RAM

D. System software

________ is having more memory addresses than are physically available????
B. Because Virtual Memory is a technique that allows to use a unit of physical memory multiple times. The content of the memory unit is loaded from a device like a harddisc when needed and is wroten back to the harddisc when it is no longer needed. That way the actual available memory is far bigger than is the storage capacity of the physical memory.
Reply:I am not sure what do you mean exactly but if you are meaning if a computer can have more memory addresses than bits in RAM my answer is no. Is like having in a phone book numbers which don't exist in reality. Virtual memory is a little stranger than RAM. Virtual memory is an emulation of RAM, and work's in other way than RAM. It has FAT so there is no need for memory address.

Reply:B, Virtual Memory.

Virtual memory is a computer system technique which gives an application program the impression that it has contiguous working memory, while in fact it is physically fragmented and may even overflow on to disk storage.
