I am wanting to run some programs for Windows 98 and such, but when I set it up to do that, it won't let me run it. Do I actually have to have the OS C.D., or is there something i am just missing? Any answers will be helpful.
Microsoft Virtual PC?
VPC is just a shell - you still need to load the OS before you can use it. Once you load Windows 98 on it you can run it like you have win 98 loaded.
Reply:Are you planning to run Windows virtually?
You can do this easily with a program called VMWare, or a program I use called VirtualBox. They both offer the same functionality, virtually running a desktop. You simply install the OS onto the virtual hard drive and it's like having two OS's running at once.
