Windows live messenger error?
Your PC is likely infected with Windows registry errors if it has ever experienced any of the problems:

PC runs much slower than when you first bought it

PC keeps crashing at critical times

Unable to remove a software using add/remove dialog

PC doesn't shutdown correctly

PC doesn't startup correctly

PC needs frequent rebooting

Getting the "Blue Screen of Death

Runtime errors message
Reply:Hi there.

Here's the technical explanation of your error:

"Pure virtual function called" is the dying message of the occasional crashed C++ program. If you have a mysterious crash associated with that message, it might well mean your program went indirect on a dangling pointer. Huh? Confusing? Yeah, same here.

The info from M$'s site:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/125749

explains it but doesn't offer any solution(s).

The MSDN forums gave me this:

This is a bug in messenger ... somehow they are managing to call a pure-virtual function. There's not a whole lot that we can do on this forum. Are you using the current Beta version? If you are you might want to uninstall it and revert back to the shipping version.

The best thing to do is uninstall Windows Messenger and reinstall it and see if that fixes it.

Hope this helps
