Math help... for a virtual chocolate chip cookie...please?

ok... here are the problems please explain and show work too

Find the equations in standard form(Ax+by+c=0) of the tangent and the normal to the graph of (x+1)^2+(y-2)^2=36 at (-1,8)

Identify the graph of X^2-6xy+9y^2=7 then find the angle or rotation about the origin to the nearest degree

(x+1)^2+(y-2)^2=36 at (-1,8)

This is a circle; radius 6 centered at (-1,2)

So the tangent at the point (-1,8) will be perpendicular to the line from the center (-1,2) to (-1,8) (and this radius will also be the normal).

That line has the equation x=-1. So the tangent to the original curve at that point will be of the form y=k; since we know that (-1,8) is on that line, the tangent will be

y = 8.

Tangent: y = 8

Normal: x=-1
